How is GPA calculated?

GPA = Total Grade Points / Total Credits. Each letter grade has a point value (A=4.0, B+=3.3, etc.). Multiply each course's grade points by its credits, sum them all, then divide by total credits.

3.7+ = A-range (summa cum laude). 3.5–3.69 = magna cum laude. 3.0–3.49 = B-range, generally considered good. Below 2.0 = academic probation at most schools.
